      I know it is hard to generalize like this but.....

      I've played a few of the new charvel pointys. They feel pretty similar to my '88 soloist. maybe a touch thicker but pretty familiar. Same D shape etc...

      I've only played one new strat head, the 25th and haven't played a real SD since '92. Strat heads are c shaped aren't they? roughly .80 to .840 seems to be about right.

      I thought all the new stuff I've played has been pretty good. The 25th wasn't a very good sounding guitar IMHO but that's more of a wood choice thing.

          No...not in my opinion....

            My MZ Strathead is more D shaped and a tad chunkier then my GX Bullseye RI.

                MZ Strathead= Limited run of natural s-heads made for the Music Zoo.
                GX Bullseye= Limited run of black and white bullseye pointies made for Guitar Xpress.
