  • EVH Charvel B&W pics under pickguard?

Before the JFC site changed, someone posted pics of underneath the pickguard of an EVH Black & White Charvel. If that person reads this, could you please post them again? I,m going to have a Sustainiac installed in my B&W Charvel and I would like to see how much roughting would be required. Yes I will post pics when it's done..........Thank you

I remember those pics - from what I recall they're a std strat control route, but just routed for a single humbucker, so I'd bet you'd need to do a lot of routing......

Thanks brent! I look like they don't have to route out that much, just a spot for the circut board 1" x 4" and alittle for the Sustainiac HB in the neck. The 5 way switch should fit in the hole that's allready there. Thanks again!!

there is quite a bit of space in there, it's a pretty deep route

the B/W sounds different to me than the others

that's because the addition of a pick guard results in a more "vintage" tone. the pickguard styling also adds more overtone and less fundamental to the sound.

there's also considerably less mass to the body

She's almost done without hardley any roughting at all. The 5 way switch and the circut board fit's right in the volume pot's area that's allready there. I SHOULD have back tommorrow..........

My 2 B/W's are slightly brighter than my B/Y, it's like it has a slightly extended range
