  • What Type of Pickup Rings were Used in the 80's?

I was wondering if anyone knows the type of pickup rings that were commonly used in production in the 80's.

Did they used the flat metal type that are on the new ones?

Or did they use slanted plastic?

Or maybe they used both styles or something else?

    Thanks,

All of the production pup rings used in the 80's were made of entirely different materials than what we get today. They were all (whether metal or plastic) weaker and more brittle than the present day versions. Everything produced now is made from "spage age" materials, which are much better than what we've been offered in the past.
