  • Played my first Charvel yesterday

A Black and Yellow EVH Art Series. It played great- almost exactly like my Kramer 1984. I was wondering if any other Charvels play just like that (especially neck wise) Vintage or New because I'd love to check some of em out

Sorry I can't help you with your question. But, you might want to take a second and read the rules of the board: no posting WTB/WTS ads in your signature.

    Welcome to the forum, BTW.

Welcome nood!!!! I agree that the EVH Art Series are great playing guitars, but the neck profile is different from other Charvels.

The EVH neck profile was taken from his old worn Kramer neck and digitized to be the same as being broken in. My understanding is that the Kramer neck was taken off of his charvel .. At any rate that is probably why your Kramer feels like the EVH

Based on that, my 2 '83 Kramer Specials should make me play like EVH. "Enough Volumn Helps" . It's a bonanza!!!!!
I am a true ass set to this board.

What Kev said, and dont count on too many of the older ones feeling like the new EVHs.

Charvel did do some fuller neck profiles back in the day, but they are hard to find (I actually own one on an '85 pointy with the fuller profile and know of a few others, but they are all in collectors hands and I would not count on any being for sale anytime soon).
