I had the oppertunity tonight to play one of the new Stratheads for about 30 minutes. I must say I was not impressed by the new neck backshape. My Natural Mahogany out of the first batch last spring was perfect very much like the old pointies but with a tad more beef. This new Strathead I found to be too thick/rounded near the 1st-3rd frets and much to thin up around the 12th fret. It was almost ass backwards? I don't get it they had it perfect and now they change it and are calling it the classic back shape? I have an 82 Strathead and the new backshape is nothing like it. I sure hope we can order the older style from last spring when going thru the Custom Shop.
