And FWIW, both Shawn's frenchie and my crossed swords were not only the original 2006 NAMM show guitars, but they are also THE protos that were used in the ad campaigns like the flyers on the DCGL site and in Japan's Young Guitar magazine!

That's what I was wondering....anyone else hear that maybe they were waiting on a particular pickup from Duncan for these.....

I just talk to a dude at Seymour Duncan. They said the WD pickups were due out soon for regular retail sale. They wouldn't actually say that they were in the signature guitars, but I got the impression that they shipped a bunch out to Charvel months ago .
