First impressions: Just got here today, so I’ve only played it for a few minutes so far. All around GREAT guitar! They nailed the colors I spec’d for the custom sunburst finish. (No, it’s not cherry sunburst! The pics don’t do the colors justice.) And, as usual, the trans red-ish flametop didn’t digitize great in the pics. The flame is much more intense in person – I tried to snap off a better one from an angle at the bottom. The neck is sweetness. The mahogany/maple combo sings acoustically. I’ll post a more detailed review when I have more time to play it tomorrow.

Props go out to Matt at Matt’s Music for (as usual!) both great service and a great deal. And credit goes to him for the first few pictures, too - it’s night here and supposed to rain all weekend, so I probably won’t be able to get pics of my own for a few days. Sorry for cropping out your bush, Matt!

Of course, props also go out to the Charvel custom shop and all involved there for a great guitar. Can’t wait for the next ones!

It's so nice, I posted it twice! Sorry about that admins. Not sure what happened there. Feel free to delete one.

When they announced the strathead option on the first day of NAMM. Well, both this and another. One was "old school" specs, the other not so much. This is the "not so much" one.

Oh, man. I have been G.A.S. free for awhile now, but I WANT THAT AXE! That is amazing. I just love it. You have excellent taste. If you ever go insane and decide to sell it, please let me know.

Nice one! I like the non-recessed trem.

That looks great - nice choice of features to create a great looking guitar which is different to the Charvel norm.....
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

That is a beautiful guitar and I love the color. Congrats on another great idea realized!

One question - Why twenty four frets on a strat head?

Very nice. That flamed top looks great with the chrome hardware and non-recessed Floyd Rose. I also love the look of the Strat head on that. And that is a really unique color. I bet those photos don't do it justice. Congrats!

That is one beautiful guitar. I know you said you orded it during NAMM. Was that NAMM last January or what?

Is there any price difference in getting a Floyd or a Wilkenson trem on a custom shop?

Also, is it quite a bit more for the strathead?

Now we're talking! I've been waiting to see if Charvel would do 24 fret strat heads (not a PC-1)
Pat is the neck joint "block" thinner than usual?
is it sculpted down like a PC-1's
Damn I wish I knew this came thru matts I would've loved to have seen it in person.
H/S , non recessed floyd? man you nailed it with this one

that's the Charvel I've been waiting for.
                            huge congrats!!!
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?
