i agree- a floyd would make a nice difference!

you can get by with the floyd nut if you have an experienced tech do the work. they can make a "shelf" for the nut to sit on(God that sounds wrong ). Floyd toplocks are VERY good at keeping the strings in tune no matter HOW hard you bomb it.
