Every once in a while, a certain guitar and amp just match up perfect to your ears. The EVH and Herbert sound like nails to me. Unreal. Played so much this weekend my wrists hurt today.....So thick and lush.

I have never ever heard anything so sweet at absolutely any volume. It's a little stiff, but that will just make me work harder at my playing.

And let's not discount the EVH part of that equation. I don't know if it's the neck, the basswood body, thin-ish coat of paint, custom wound PU or whatever, but the Charvel EVH guitars are downright tone monsters. I've definitely noticed that with mine. Tone-wise, they're pretty unique and cool, IMHO.
