        • [QUOTE=VinceV;858658] At the show this guitar was a huge draw everytime I went up to the Fender room, there was a crowd around this thing, and from what I got from the conversations I could pick up, lots and lots of people thought it was the coolest thing they had seen.

If GC was smart, they'd put one of these front-and-center in each of their high traffic stores. In a glass case right in the center of their sales floor that your can see right when you walk in. They'd definitely get value from the added foot traffic.

I think the "Frankie" replica will be worth WAY more than 25k in the future.
Only time can settle this tiff, but I will tell you my experience so far with other products.. Vintage baseball memorabilia. when a Player is at his prime ala Mark Maguire<spell? You Can count on seeing his rookie card, balls bats and jerseys all on the net and the TV selling for Thousands.. and sure now all those that remembered him are alive and making $ ready to buy the memory of that guy hitting a ball at a game they where at. But go look how expensive a babe Ruth year player's items are. Not unaffordable..WHY? because the target Generation for that person is Gone, dead and buried, well almost all of them.. Look at The band Kiss, I own lots of Kiss items and Let me say that there was a time when Ebay was young that A set of Kiss dolls went for over a grand,, Now? $300. why? they are basically done. Now Are there exceptions? sure, there are. All dead people for one thing... And the other thing to consider when investing in Memorabilia is Will EVH REALLY cross over for generations to come? was he a Well liked Person? Does his talents span across different types of music. NO! See Nobody knows if Stevie Ray Vaughn ever hit his wife, drank his liver away, or abused his band.. With many these things count as to which person they portray as a "hero" or a "GOD" to their new born kids... Again I love ed, he has his place, and he invented a great many things... Will he be remembered Forever? Well Will Dime? Will bucket head? Petrucci? Malmstien? Nah,

Sorry to say.. That Playstation is going to Do way more for the next Gen then playing ANY instrument will.. Sadly Kids have no patience thanks to technology, and they want to know things now... Nobody is going to want to take 5 years to learn anything as antiquated as an instrument. Thats My bet.

Yes I think Ed will, (just like Jimi H) the rest of the players you mentioned? No.

Exactly. Groundbreakers/innovators are usually guaranteed immortality.
