Look on page 4 for Body Description. It says:

San Dimas, Dinky, Star, San Dimas Traditional, Telecaster

So if Traditional = Tele, why are they listed seperately? Something tells me they are not the same thing. Now back to my question. What is a San Dimas Traditional???

My take on this is that it is a very GOOD thing. Remember, Charvels (and Jacksons for that matter) were all customs back in the day. It's a return to their roots.
I also agree this is a cool thing because I'm not a big fan of their regular production guitars. What I don't like is it takes forever for them to turn around a cs order. I would assume this change will free the guys up to just build cs guitars.

They'll need to be freed up from the Jackson (regular) production as well.

You're reading too much into a typo.

I think that rumor was pretty obviously false.

However, I heard from a dealer yesterday that all the custom shop booth guitars for NAMM this year have an $8k list price - I'm guessing there's going to be some wild stuff at NAMM this year.

Agreed, Tim. But that didn't stop some folks from treating it like "fact" anyway, and pointing to it as further evidence of the tyranny of the evil overlords.

Tyranny and Mutation - great album - although the cover could give you vertigo

Why the $300 upcharge for the strat headstock? Doesn't the same company own Charvel and Fender? Why would they have to pay a fee?

And why $307 for a reverse pointy? Doesn't make any sense, unless they just make a whole bunch of regular necks at a time and only make the reverses when one is ordered. Still seems ridiculous. I feel like if I fart while placing the order that it's going to be a $75 additional charge.

Farts are like inlays. The option price depends on the type. The upcharge for a full-on "shart" can cost you a grand. A "machine gun" fart is about $300. "Tearing slik" is a middle-of-the-road $150. And SBDs are no charge, unless you're in smelling distance.

Also, no one mentioned that the DiMartini's aren't in there. Have these been stopped before they really even started or are they still working out the pickup issue?

You know I was reading the price list and just for thinking about getting a quote on a custom order, there was a $25 charge on my credit card!
