That is actually pretty cool and should make ordering a new one a little easier if that is what someone wants to do.

That seems a bit high to me.
Compared to the EVH Frankies, that is bargain. Shut your trap and order one, while they last.

Wow, I had only briefly skimmed this the other day but I just priced out a guitar nearly equivalent to one that I have on order with another company - even at a very steep dealer discount it's over $1000 more from Charvel - and that's with options not listed on the Charvel sheet so I couldn't add the charges for them. More realistically the price difference would be $1500 or more over what I'm paying.
$450 upcharge for a birdseye neck plus another $90 for the fingerboard! More power to them if they are successful with this but I just don't see my name on a new custom order anytime soon.I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

I would NEVER pay that kind of money for a bolt on guitar. this is a foolish move on their part IMO and just more gouging on an already really high price for what it is. especially considering the recent trend of poor quality control and lousy paint/clear jobs coming out of the CS. $1200 - 1400 I can see, but $2200 just for a bolt on solid color with a hs they don't have to pay a lic fee for? that's insulting.
guess I'll just keep playing my Model 2, back from when a quality product from Charvel did not cost $2500.
what a joke.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

but at least with a Suhr you get a plekked neck and the Feiten system and locking tuners. so they are in some measure more worth the money than what Charvel is putting out at these freekin prices.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

I know the Suhrs are very high quality ... I was just pointing out that there are other brands beside Charvel that offer expensive bolt on guitars.
Face it... any 100% USA built guitar is going to be fairly expensive. Until inflation is non existent, prices are going to increase on guitars, just like everything else.
Can you imagine a base price of $6000.00 in 10 years or so? It's certainly possible.Special deals for JCF members on Jackson/Charvel, Suhr, Anderson, Nash, Splawn, Bogner, LSL, Ibanez, Diezel, Friedman, Bad Cat, 3rd Power, Dr. Z, ENGL and more. FREE SHIPPING! 0% FINANCING!

Seriously though, tell your rep that Jackson needs to start producing DK2Ms with reverse and/or reverse-matching or even just matching headstocks. Keep the maple board with the black sharkies and it would kick ass.Breaking Point, my all instrumental CD available here:
