The original neck was not a Charvel neck.
So much for being an EXACT copy.

Did the neck come from Boogie Bodies?

I believe that is what the mag (GW) says. But as long as they are replicating (duplicating) it I don't see a problem.
Mr. Patience.... ask for a free consultation.

Oh yeah, this is true, but they need to get the dots right then.

Didn't the black and yellow guitar have a proper Charvel neck on it?

          What's Charvel about Frankie?

+1. I agree with you. It looks more hideous when viewing it from a foot away in its glass case at NAMM.

So true, To me it's beyond relic.. It looks like a trashed guitar that someone took a ax to. I know that is what Frankie looks like, but it just looks so cheap.

My guess would be that EVH should make a few million of the Relic guitars. At $20,000 per unit sold multiplied by 300 that's 6 million. He should get half or so since it's his design (you would think). After manufacturing costs, taxes, and dealer profits that's still a boatload of cash.

No EVH Frankenstein = no crazy $$$ for Fender.

Somehow it still makes a lot more sense to me than spending $200,000 on a car. Im pretty sure Id buy one if I had the money.
