pointies and my grouchy mood

I'm looking at the neck of my 750XL with a fixed bridge, and he string path looks fine to me. The angled headstock solves one of the crappier design decisions of the strat IMO, no headstock angle for string pressure.
And like others have said, the pointy is just SEXY!

I have to agree with surfreak- One piece necks rule.. I've always went for them first-- Charvel, J frog & Performance necks are great.
Charvel pointies are a great design but less resonance, higher risk for a broken headstock.
As for design which simply does not flow with the body curves I don’t go for the tele pointy much but the strat is clean

Pointies look far better to me (the finest headstock shape ever designed) and as said before, a better string break angle over the nut. As a Floyd user, I don't have issues with the string pull angle due to the locking nut. Also, Stratheads remind me of Buddy Holly and Hank Marvin which puts me right off from the start!!

Round headstocks suck.
Looks like a mandolin head or sumpin'
Usually you come to a point where only a sharp headstock
looks good to you

For some reason I think a tele body with a pointy either regular or reverse is the coolest looking guitar, although I'm probly in the minority as you don't see many
