Thanks, that's exactly the reason why I asked

So instead of asking meif I wanted it on the list you were simply going to dupe me into giving you the info? We've been down this road before...

It isn't that I want to hide anything but it does bother me that I'm the one the paid the money for the guitar and I'm not asked if I want to contribute, I'm simply asked for the info without revealing why ...

Come on.... I didn't dupe you - everybody here exactly knows that I grab info for the chart, especially you. So what exactly did you think why I asked if it's a HS

Did you ask me if i wanted that info on the chart? Last time you told me all info was volunteered ... Now obviously I've been nice enough to furnish info in the past so you know if you ask me I'll probably give it to you.. I still think it sucks that people aren't given the option of doing that tho ..

I'm not trying to bust your chops ,but this is a very old issue even going back to the SD serial charts as well as missing logbooks etc.. If you want to add it just ask me if you can .. don't get me to reveal the info and then just use it without permission it is simply not cool

Great tone, very thick, and perfect playability too. I sold it because I needed a 2H.

Then I got #7259 from the 2nd batch, and you could tell that it was a completely different type of mahogany: wider grain, lighter, almost pink in color and very soft.
This was also the guitar that had Q/C issues, the pickup switch was malfuctioning (probably a hard knock while it was being shipped), noticeable dead spots on the neck, and the fretwork was much less accurate and detailed. So I returned it.

Finally, I got #7257, again from the 2nd batch, and it is not perfect: again, the mahogany appears to be of lower quality, and the fretwork is not as perfect as the first batch, but still very good.
What makes this guitar a keeper is however its playability and tone: it is a screamer, the Custom 5 seems to be even more toneful, the harmonics are just so loud and detailed.
the softer wider grain Mahogany, is actually considered better to alot people & maybe hondoran?

Mayday, I apologize for my post requesting the info from you for busdriver. You volunteered the serial number which is one higher than mine and anyone could look at the list and figure it all out, especially as before you posted I mentioned mine was the first of the H/S and that it was TMZ071. I guess I assumed you wouldn't mind as you mentioned the exact serial number.

Please accept my apology for any grief my request caused you.

No need to apologize .. and again in all honesty I'd be happy to supply the info if asked for permission ... I won't just give it up to see it on a chart .. it's not a persoal thing. There have been a lot of troubles over past lists ...

This is probably only a language barrier... but at that point when I asked if it's an HS (+ an attached smiley) I actually thought you would consider it as a question for permission too. It was a bit indirectly I have to admit, and I wouldn't have asked that way if you were someone who never had heard of this chart before. Well, it obviously doesn't work in English

But it's OK, I will shut down that chart anyway, too much trouble lately (I don't talk about this discussion).

So what do you consider legitimate quality problems? I sure remember a lot of issues with the Big Red that you went to the mat for (thanks - I'm glad you did BTW). If that wasn't Big Red, wouldn't at least some of those issues have been considered anal screw counting?

Remember, the things people have been bitching about over and over regarding quality are on guitars that cost thousands of dollars and they had to wait a year or two to get.

My ghey Hello Kitty Squier that I bought at Target for $130 is flawless. The finish is perfect. The neck pocket is tight. The fret dress is perfect. The bridge was mounted straight. The pickup was aligned properly. The tuners are straight. And the setup was pretty good. Even the intonation was almost dead on. All this on a guitar most would disregard as junk or a toy.

But someone that spends $1500-1600 on a relatively plain and simple guitar from the highly acclaimed Charvel Custom Shop and gets a poor fret dress is anal if he raises that as a concern?
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
