Very limited run. As in, one of each, because thats all they will ever sell.

They are out of their freakin minds.

Fender can keep them and masterbuilt all over them to their heart's content.

Do NOT lump in Masterbuilt strats with this insanity. Some of the nicest most soulful guitars I own are MB Strats and Teles. And not one of them cost nearly as much as these Charvels.

This is some idiots idea of "I think we can get $____" and I think they are in for a hard lesson. Actually, I think the poor dealers are in for a hard lesson......

Shawn you are correct. My '51 Nocaster Relic is the nicest guitar I have ever owned and it cost a fraction of what these new Charvels are going for. I have also played lots of Fender Custom Shope Strats and they are wonderful guitars that don't cost that much when you compare them to what Charvel is charging.

rottojack: I hear ya,and agree with you 100%. I happen to have a 01-1956 Custom Shop "Mary Kaye" Relic. It was $2,795.00. Its Vintage Blond (Nitro) over Master Grade lightweight swamp ash (7 lbs).Lots of labor in the Relic process as you know.
The prices for some of Charvels is way out of hand, Id rather get a Wayne guitar.. knowing its built by him,the Master himself and not assembly line bodies throw together and marked up 3000%.

You of course know that Wayne, "the master himself", sold off his interest and was out of Charvel Manufacturing years before any of the serialized and 95% of the "pre-pro" Charvels that we all covet were built, right?

                        If that were only true...
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Interesting. I was thinking GMW of a few years ago. Haven't played the new ones - though think Lee's prices are still reasonable.

RR05xx: I was referring to "Wayne" guitars, not Charvel. I watched all those QT vids of him building a "Wayne" guitar from scratch on his site. So Id opt for a "Wayne" guitar over a Legacy cause I know he is still hands on and they are like $3,500 ish and he is building them and his son is painting them, pretty much in their garage or basement like back in the late 70's.

I've heard some serious nightmare stories from Wayne Guitars and their customer service.
I laid my hands on one and felt ok but was not blown off my feet by it. Called around and I just could not justify spending the jack he asks for for what they are and feel like.

I am sure the man makes a mean axe and I probably ran into some malcontent dealer and an average piece. Rather not risk it myself.

I know John Suhr and Tom Anderson have awesome shops, excellent customer service and cool selections of features. Those are my boys these days.
Mr. Patience.... ask for a free consultation.

Ive seen them at the Musikmesse Frankfurt last week. The one with the red stripes is especially cool. I just cant seem to find any prices, whats the list price for those?
