And thanks everyone for all the great replies. This seems like a really cool forum.
I've got a ton of funny old pics. I spent almost three years on the road during the 80's in cover bands playing 5 and 6 nighters all over the midwest. It was a helluva party!

Wally: You got it!!!! The 1st pix is circa 1987 (#1010)-2nd is 2007 (#6989)
I dont remember the pix,but my good friend emailed it to me,so I kept it.

I tried to duplicate the "pose". I can look back and laugh now,but the times I had back than are priceless. One good thing I still have from the 80's is my 1987 Buick Grand National.
ps: I still use the same exact picks (Clayton 1.52's) although I do like the the 1.26's now. Remember the "parachoote pants" that were in back in the mid 80's? I had some.

Clayton 1.52's are the stuff, as well as thin stiff as a motherfukker metal picks for me. I still look ridiculous and I'm 42-lol

            Pick Trick~Try This

atomic charvel guy: My friend whom attended GIT showed me a trick (back in the 80's) to keep the picks pointy (any pick). Just hold in your hand and rub on any carpet couple times really fast towards you on each side of the "tear drop" (point facing away from you)the heat of the carpet sharpens them back to like new. I always seem to loose/misplace mine. I have always used Claytons for 20 yrs. I have a 1.26/1.52 & a 1.90mm. I did try the newer tan colored one in 1.0mm and liked it,but lost it
            Try it!

Awosme shots bros I wasn`t a big hair or spandex guy back then, but those photos are great I had the long stringy hair and was in a Mosh Pit somewhere every week!! I was a speed metal freak. I have to say the 80`s were awsome Jack.

Yeah the 80s were awsome because I was 13 till 23 back then. Now I am a married father - which is the best thing that ever happened to me - turn 40 this year and long joined corporate life.
