  • Winter 2007 Charvel Price List

Has anyone ordered a Charvel since this price list came out?

Discover the sound of Fender, the spirit of rock-n-roll since 1946. Shop Fender guitars, basses, amplifiers, audio equipment, accessories, apparel and more.

I might order a Charvel this year and wondered if the prices were 'as advertised'?

I have been told by two dealers that yes they are valid.

Ouch. I'm 38, not doing bad - and have always waited for the chance to buy into these guitars I've wanted since the 80s. But with the time that's passed since then, I may have gotten too wise to buy in now.

I've priced a couple guitars with dealers.

It's not completely correct (for instance the Vintage flame finish is now $1300 not $675) and the neck options are stratospheric.

The one I'm waiting on was $3,850 on last years list, $4,552 on this years list and $5,600 on an actual quote sheet in February.

Another one I did with a dealer:
Posted price list? about $4,100 list
So I figured at a good price break, why not, until the quote came back from Charvel at $5,950 list

Glad I got my 2 when I did. I love 'em and have no regrets, but no way would I pay a penny more than I did. I'm done with the new ones, and these prices make it way easier to justify saving up to shell out the big bucks for old stratheads. Hell, it feels like stealing to grab an old pointy at this point, especially if you aren't Kahler-phobic.

With the pathetic quality control issues and obviously indifferent crew of builders, the price list gives me PMS: Purchase Many Suhrs.

Guess I'd better start saving my pennies.
