Need Some Fret Help

Recently, I bought a new SD Star with Jumbo frets 6100. I just can't get used to these-too big. I have a few early Stars from 1980-1982 that have smaller frets but I'm not sure of the size (med jumbo 6130?). Does anyone know the size that was used on these early guitars?

Fret sizes more than likely varied it being a cs? 6105's are narrower but still tall. you can try looking on a luthier supply website, they usually have pic's and # sizes of frets written with descriptions. Or find/ consult a REPUTABLE local luthier, check out some of his work, a good refret is usually $150 or so. hope this helps.

Thanks 59 Custom. They are similar to Gibson frets-that is why I thought maybe 6130. Does anyone know of a trustworthy luthier for fretwork in Chicago area?
