  • Which USA Chravel?

Hey guys im looking to buy a Charvel strat just wondering what model would best suit what im after. Looking for two humbuckers, maple 22 fret neck, pointy head and neck thru. Im also not interested in the EVH signiture model.

    Thanks

I dont think you'll find a charvel strat in neck through. Let alone neck through with a maple board. The neck throughs were all Dinky Bodies and not full sized strats. There may be a few custom shop pieces around but those will be expensive. I have seen some soloists with maple boards but not any charvels in neck through with maple.

Yep, sounds to me like you might want a Jakcson instead of a Chravel.

He's also looking for 22 frets and a maple board.

are you suggesting he goes and orders a one off, neck thru charvel with pointy and maple board?. price tag would surely be phenominal 8k? I suggested the closest thing in a fesable price range. plus the feel of ebony board is smooth and bright in tone similar to maple. or you could put the idea of a neck thru behind you and go for a new 2 hb charvel SD pointy, just watched one on e-bay sell for $ 600 very cool guitar.

                  Hey all,
Im not to fussed if it aint neck thru. Im just getting into charvel so yer ii dont no too much. As long as its a maple fret board that would be great with 22 frets.

No, I wasn't suggesting that at all. Though, the newer USA Charvels, like ADR posted (they are bolt-ons), have 22 frets and are available with choice of maple, ebony or rosewood boards, choice of H, H/S, H/H and H/S/S pickup configuration, as well as Floyd or vintage-type trem.

He does not own that one (yet), it is available at Wild West Guitars, they are online.
