Cool. I also seem to remember someone said they made him a signature model of that, but not sure.

I know he also had a red Hamer Flying V at one time that was pretty sweet.

Those came with green Dimarzios too...

Underrated as far as UV's go. I had one for some time. More understated than the other UV's at the time but had it's own attitude...

It was Trey and David Vincent (vocals) who used to cut themselves on stage, I don't think they do that anymore but they did in the early days when they were still "underground".. They did it to show that this was their life, this was what they were living for and they were willing to bleed for it..

At that time the members of Morbid Angel were renting a house together and all they did was rehearse, play and practise more or less around the clock, except when they were working as car cleaners.. So in those days you could get your car washed by Morbid Angel!
That's the story as I know it anyway.

Hey if you're interested in the history of Morbid Angel, Death, etc. you have to read this book. It's full of interviews with people from various death metal and grindcore bands, and you get to know where and how it all started.
I like this book so much I could start an own thread about it

I saw Morbid Angel in 1990 and Trey was playing a Charvel, but it was a Strat style (import). He did cut his arms up a lot in between songs and would bleed all over the guitar and the stage. I remember him using a straight edge razor blade, although I'm not sure where he stored it while he was playing.

WTF is wrong with that guy if he is cutting himself up...

                              Lmao.

that reminds me of the classic Mustaine quote...

"We aren't one of those bands who paint our faces, wear fur coats and swing around the stage on ropes"
