  • Grover Jackson Charvels

    Guy,
What do you make of these:
Is it another way to capitalize(take advantage of the collectors).

The price's are just way out of line by far don't you guy's all think?

This one I had to put in as it is way cool

    Now the Big Dollar ones.

My prediction? Charvel Grover Jackson Legacy Series = peg warmers. Just about as unpopular as the 25th Ann. Jacksons, and dealers will be holding them for quite a while, as well. Harsh to say, but probably how these will really end up.

shredder, I agree with you. I think these will hang for a long time on the wall.
They are so over priced and I don't see the real reason for the hike in price over the other Charvels SHeads and grapic's. The master build tag they have on them? What is that telling the public that the others are not as good for 2g's. People would be better off to buy a PRS sorry to say. Don't get me wrong I love these guitars but I hate to see them so over priced. I guess will have to wait for them to be ebay'd for a rock bottom price. Lol.......

Harsh, but true. Ridiculous at best. AND, I cant stand the plates on them...

As a side note, I would LOVE one of those 25th kelly's, but noone wants to budge beyond cost. I have always found it humorous how dealers want to UPCHARGE on a popular item and make extra money beyond the norm, but cant even consider a loss on a dust collector.

        Its a 2 way street.

BTW, KUDOS to the dealers who didnt bow to this nonsense, and to the dealers who did, you made your own bed.

          $10k. LOL

I could buy another Private Stock PRS and still fly first class to Europe. What a joke.

I heard from a very reliable source these guitars have a special clear coat to repeal music store dust. The strings, bridge and tuners are coated with an almost invisible layer of glass to protect them off rust.

              Great museum pieces FMIC!!

LMAO its such a niche market they will never sell. 22 fret strathead, wide enough to retro fit OFRs.....around 1G now were talking. its not like they are using brazilian RW boards or even koa skunk stripes. 10G it should be enough to buy 9 of them.......

I'm sorry, 10 grand for a piece of wood with some metal on it????? They've got to be kidding!!! How can they have the nerve to charge 8 grand more for something made from the same parts in the same room as the cheaper ones????

I don't really care for them to begin with - those would have to be my some of my least favorite finishes. But if they're only $10,000 I might have to pick up a few and have them refinished satin black.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

I can't believe how much they believe they can rape people on the prices of these guitars. I'm sure there is some asshole out there that is so love with the idea of these guitars that he will pay that for a guitar.

I'd rather buy the parts off Warmoth and put together a better guitar for less cash.

Id buy the one with the red stripes for 2k or something. I strummed a couple of chords on one, it looks much better in person than in the pics. Very nice guitar.

Yeah the whole price thing is out of control and taking advantage of the 80-'s collectors.

I occasionally see those "Limited Edition Strathead Stars" on the walls of some stores. The Blue w/Pink Lightning bolt ones... They all look played, and they all have dirty fingerboards. And they just hang there...unsold. Generally $1500 or higher. Sad really...
