You'd sue the importers Fender UK or what/whoever is the official dealer in the UK

What if they are just distributors?

The problem Jackson is having is keeping up with their enormous artist roster

I must be mistaken on the definition of enormous. I always thought it meant big, large, huge, massive, extensive... You know, stuff like that.

Steve, I've only just seen this thread (don't look in the Charvel bit much) - sorry to hear about the F**k up. I know you've been waiting an age for this one & it's a major pi**er that it's come to you with the wrong spec.

However - if you want to get rid of it (at a large discount!).............

Just kidding - my GAS has been sated for a while by the last two acquisitions (and the new car I bought was written off by some arse driving into it while it was parked outside my house - got the insurance, but the replacement was more expensive - so I'm saving my pound coins again...).

I'll pop in soon & bring a punchbag......

Guys I hate to say it, but I sold off all my Jacksons awhile ago and went on to smaller builders. I have just lost so much respect for Jackson because of issues like this. I will always love the old Charvel/Jacksons. Hopefully one day someone else will buy them and actually give a shit about the guitars.

I'm surprised nobody took this opportunity to make a pun. I'm almost 6', but I still have to use the short urinal.

Look, if you want FMIC to get on the ball, write a letter telling them that if they don't rectify this situation within 5 business days, you will be filing a lawsuit against them for (well, I'm not a lawyer, so for whatever the offense would be). In your state, you may still be under the small-claims-court limit, which can be up to $5,000 in some states if I'm not mistaken. That means all you have to do is pay a small court fee and file a few pieces of paperwork. You'll get a court date, and representatives from FMIC will have to show up to your state. If they don't, you automatically win. And the cool thing about suing someone is that you don't have to sue FMIC. Hell, since Mike Shannon signed the guitar, sue him personally. I mean, all the bitching and griping about FMIC lately, just go ahead and start suing them when the screw up; otherwise, they're just going to keep making mistakes and getting away with things. They probably need to be yanked back into reality. And just in case anyone's wondering, I have sued someone in small claims before, but I've only done it once in my lifetime. I'm not as litigious as I may sound in this post, but in this case and many others I've seen on this board, I do think there are valid reasons to sue.
This has been done...and successfully, I might add. Suing FMIC is not a discussion that is conducive to remaining a member of this board, however. Small claims courts are a very accessible method for people vs. corporations to settle disputes. The process is very simple and fair.

I for one applaud and embrace the public accessibility of the american legal system. Accountability. Keep your communications in writing and seek resolution. If a company or dealer wants to give the bull...excercise your right to give them the horns.

Why Should anyone on this board get mad if you sue FMIC? If they do thats BULLSHIT. The guy placed an order that was not done right and it should be rectified. If I waited 22 months for a guitar that came out wrong because of some morons failure to read a spec sheet I would go after them with everything I could. There have been many complaints about FMIC. No one here should get mad at another board member. We should all stick together and get this bullshit resolved. As far as I go I no longer own any Charvels or Jackson's. I would never buy a new one. The old ones are great guitars. I wish FMIC took this in another direction.

The problem seems to be a stock code change for Floyd equipped guitars.........surely they should take note of the workorder which clearly states that I ordered a Floyd rather than a vintage.
That is the lamest answer I have ever heard. Either this is a lie or they are really stupid. You have orders that go back 2 years and you change codes and you don't make sure when you see a new code that you don't double check the written specs. I smell BS.

Neo you're in the construct of the Matrix. You could take the red pill or the blue pill. Take the blue pill and it might be a one way trip. I can help with the stone-cold-facts but I would need immunity from prosecution

Why? This board is private and has nothing to do with FMIC.

If you really want to hit em where it hurts, just stop ordering guitars. I mean from what I have been reading the past few months it's nothing but frustration and heartache. I love my C/J guitars but there is no way in hell I would order a cs guitar from them.

I have several nice C/Js and even a couple of custom shops but I have decided to spend my guitar money elsewhere.

I just just had a sudden urge to sugga dick..! If I wore that guitar and didn't suck male genitalia..somethin' is very wrong! - Bill Z.
