No Dealer error...............I am the dealer!!!!!
I checked the work order which was correct. I have since had backorder lists which has shown my guitar with a Floyd............we'll have to wait and see what happens now, I'm just waiting for a phone call from my rep.
I just thank god that it was for me and not a customer.

It's beyond BS. Just get your money back. I would be so pissed if this happened to me.

I'm really sorry for you, but I must say, with the vintage tremolo, this would be my dream guitar!
Wanna think about it and pm me?

Well I'll be goddamned! You mean to say that someone other than Gibson has QC issues.

Buy used! Forget the new ones. At the price they charging now why would you want the financial and mental abuse.

To wait 2 years and then to have it show up wrong I would just ask for my money back and take my business elsewhere.

Unbelievable and unbelievably sad. I'll be very interested to see what they do to make it up to you, especially given that you're a dealer.

Do you think they might offer to have your guitar modded over to a Floyd by a luthier in your area at FMIC's expense? If not, perhaps you might consider suggesting that to them. It would likely be easier and quicker to do that than to ship it back to the U.S.A. for similar work. And who knows how long it would take them to get it back to you...

I took a few photo's today as I've not heard a thing back from FMIC UK about returning it.

With regards to having the guitar modified, this is my first J/C ordered by me with my specs from the custom shop. I want it built the way I ordered it and not have to have a Floyd fitted later on.
I'll keep you all posted on what happens in the near future (hopefully!!)

Steve - what do you hope FMIC will do for your situation? Do you want a full refund or would like them to build the guitar that you ordered?

If FMIC offers a full refund, are you thinking about getting someone else to build a guitar for you?

Hey man, that blows. One thing that you should know, if they tell you they will have it back to you in a month or two, they will be lying. And, yes, I base this opinion on personal experience with a fuct up charvel. My redrum CS took over 2 years to get and i am in the states.

                              Check your pms.
