Although the bridge mix up is unexcusable, I'm more shocked by the time it took to get the guitar to you after its final inspection.

She's still a very pretty guitar! But how stupid can they be to fuck up a different type of trem?

Man, I am really sorry to hear this. If it were me, I'd probably jump on a plane and head for Corona, since I'm not that far away. Someone needs to explain this. This is royally screwed up to say the least. I heard the dealers in the US do not get responses on queiry's either. Damn, this one make's my past experience seem pale by comparison! I hope they do you right!

The good thing is that I havn't paid for it yet, only invoiced. I will refuse to pay until it is sorted out. To be honest, I'm not too bothered about the time scale as I have another 9 J/C's at the moment. I do however, expect a bit of compensation as it has been a major F**k up on their part. 12 Months shipping time is inexcusable in my book. Here's a shot of the inspection card to prove that I'm not telling lies!!

Cheers and thanks for all your comments.

you haven't paid for it? hmmm... the last time I enquired about placing a custom order, I was told that I need to pay the entire amount upfront. Even GC said the same.

We order them and get invoiced when the guitar arrives, simple as that. Obviously, we are obliged to purchase the guitar when it arrives (as long as everything is OK!!! which on this occasion, it certainly is not). As this guitar is for me, no money has changed hands as yet but for obvious reasons, if a customer orders one, we need to take a substancial deposit otherwise, we are left with a (very expensive) guitar which we have to buy if the person decides not to pay for it.

                    Cheers

Damn, that guitar is beautiful. However without a locking nut, that trem will be damn near useless.

sorry to hear about the f-up. What a shame....

That is a BEAUTIFUL axe, what a shame it is not up to your expectations. You ought to get what you asked for a simple as that.
But for what its worth..... it is stunning as it is.

Huh? It's a vintage trem. If it were spec'd with a Floyd like he asked, then it would have a locking nut.

Edit... Yeah no fine tuners. Doh! Obviously I've never owned a vintage trem guitar before. Looking at that string angle at the nut though, seems like string binding would be a huge problem.

He´s a dealer, not an end user. Dealers generally get invoiced. THe only reason end users have to pay a deposit up front is so that the dealer isn´t out 2.5k when someone orders something over the top and never picks it up
