  • Is the bridge pickup supposed to be angled?

Or do we need to all chip in and buy the Charvel Custom Shop a ruler. I think my kids might have a spare.

I know, I know, I'm being too picky and I'm an asshole and this sort of thing is actually perfectly acceptable.

I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Crooked pickups and misalighned Floyds seem to be a C/J trademark. Sloppy workmanship but I still love how they play.

Tim, you picky bastid. That guitar must have been spec'd that way. Charvel can do no wrong.

Bummer, that would bug me too Tim. Hopefully, the feel and tone make up for it. I have been tempted to pick up one from that run. They look sweet.

Is the route crooked too? Maybe you can just shift the ring and re-drill the holes to screw the thing in correctly and plug the wrong ones. I know you shouldn't have to do that on a CS guitar. What goes on in that shop anyway??? That's unacceptable!!!!

Wait..no..wait...huh..no..how can this be? Are you complaining about qua...qua..quality? Can you do that? Dood that's a total troll move. No...wait now I have to say but "HOW's THE TONE?"

Phuuuuuk that. You spend good money you should get a guitar that sounds great AND is made to proper specs! How did that get passed the dealer? Must have been too busy typing in the security code for your credit card. They notice that little detail just fine!

That being said. It looks kind of cool. Personally, if you can get $150 off the price I would keep it as long as nothing else is all jacked up.

I bet all is fine with that pickup route and there are only some wires or something cluttered under the pickup and they shift the pickup a bit.

You need to have a special tool to fix that. It called a finger.

Nah, the route may be right, but to me it looks pretty clear that the holes for the pickup ring are drilled way out of alignment.

What happened to the original thread on this one? To me it looks like the ring is installed wrong. Note the spacing on the neck PU vs. the bridge PU.
