Thank you all! I've been giving this thing a complete workout since I got it and it's one of the best playing guitars I've ever had my hands on. So much so that I'm on the hunt for another.

I'm glad you're enjoying it - did you get the new pup installed?

Congrats, that looks great with the chrome! The GC in Atlanta has a used one almost exactly like it - #6424, black, ebony board, one hum, Floyd. Played/sounded great, I just thought the all black was a little boring but yours looks great w/ the chrome!

Still waiting for the Custom 5 to come in, should be today. I also finally ordered a chrome R3 Original Floyd nut for it that should be here today as well. Once I get everything put together, I'll shoot some pics of the final result.

Got my Custom 5 today, what a smokin' pickup! Had to temporarily ditch the chrome mounting ring cause the pickup is too wide for it and started tearing the tape off of the ends of the pickup when I started raising the pickup.

Samething happened when I got my brass pup ring,so I just ended up filing the thing enough to clear (granted it was brass. . ie: soft)
Were talking couple thousands thats all.

Geez, gotta love the mail man. Chrome locking nut came today, fixed the spacing on the pickup ring, so I'll shoot new pics tomorrow and post 'em.
