I bet in a year or so, you will still be able to find these sitting at dealers. What does that do to the secondary market, if there is a surplus of them?
You know what your gonna see, is the day after something happens to Eddie,200+ of these pop up on Ebay. Wow there goes your investment. Which let's be honest, is what people are buying these for. Yes there are few "die hard" fans who must have whatever bares his name, but the majority are waiting to cash in.
At those prices, those who really had to have one, already have one. There isn't going to be anyone to take there place, as time goes on and the fans get older and older.Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

At $25K try YEARS.
Guitar companies should make guitars, piano companies should make pianos and Thomas KinKade should make artwork or whatever the hell he does with light painting.Mr. Patience.... ask for a free consultation.

Good points! The whole idea of brand new collector's pieces has always baffled me, but Fender & Gibson sure have figured out how to make a killing at it. We have instant everything else, so I guess we need instant collectibles. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I like the idea of letting the passage of time and increased demand by real people decide what's collectible.
