So they're going to be doing more of the hand-striped Art Series and auctioning them again? That's kinda cool and unexpected. Looks like he's experimenting with other colors and schemes.

      This is fantastic.
Ed is back at it again.
I wonder what the starting bid will be?
      5,000 to 10,000?

Great, flood the market with more limited editions. I'm curious if these will sell like the 04 run. I you paid attention and remember those. Most were bought by a small group of people. I now 2 guy personally who grabbed up at least 3 each. With some getting 5 and more.

I guess what I am saying is that. Is the person who already has a few "hand striped" 04 guitars gonna want 07 guitars? They were less than 70 04 guitars. I have a feeling there are gonna be alot more 07's. There are way more dates and, I am sure he is aware now, how much he can make from these, thus there will probably be more.

You know with the Relic series and then these. Is it just becoming a see how many 15K plus guitars I can sell now.

The other problem is for the collector, who now has to deal with a market that now will have 100's and 100's of EVH "limited" whatever edition guitars. Ain't nothing so special about that.

        Let's see

        70- 04 guitars
        300- Frankie relics
100- At least of 07 guitars

Around 500- Special EVH 15k + guitars. That doesn't seem so special or collectable to me.
Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

          Hmmmm

          Lets crunch some numbers..

          70 at $5000 ea is $350000
          300 at $25000 ea is $7,500,000
          100 at lets say $3000 ea $300,000
And only EVH knows how many flanger and phaser pedals plus amps and d tunas .
13000 seat arena at $150 a tix average is 1.9 mill a show
20 shows or more at 1.9 mil per is around 40 mil .

It looks like ED has figured out how to get rich as a musician and NOT make any new music. Come on ED youre losing so much respect .. Money grabbing has been LOL

I dig that new design. It kinda reminds me of the Blackhawks 3rd jersey.

Are my eyes deceiving me? That guitar looks neck-thru.

That's what I'm talking about. It so stinks of money grubbing, it's starting to put me off. I was so ready to see them again on this tour. I did the ILAA 5* for the last tour and it was a blast, but those were $450 with soundcheck. The L.A. area dates are 1K and that's it, you get to be in the pit(inside the ramp).

The EVH relic was supposed to be a 100 run at around 11k when it was 1st announced then they made it a 300 run at 25k. Not that 11k is cheap, but it wasn't outrageous, but I guess when a Jackson Korina CS piece has a msrp of 11.5k now, what were they gonna do.

Everything just seems like it's about money now. I know he and the band can do whatever they want, and they probably wont have a hard time selling anything.

It's just I don't think I want to be part of there gravy train anymore.

That is pretty cool! It does almost look neck-thru, but I think it's just the lighting.

Your being deceived, look at his building gallery and you will see they are all bolt ons.

The building gallery on that site doesn't provide any evidence confirming or denying that the particular guitar I questioned is a bolt-on or not. It's entirely possible that IF it is a bolt-on that it was produced through the custom shop, or maybe at a different time.

However, Toejam's explanation that the lighting may have fooled my eyes is a bit more plausable.

How about the fact the EVH has NEVER played a neckthru?

Don't see why Ed's would be any different.

i think the most important thing about this thread is that roth can still fit into leather trousers that tight. for a man his age. kudos

It just looks that way because there is no gap in the neck pocket.
