I said my piece about the relic-ing, otherwise I love the color/matching headstock and prefer a recessed floyd.

I'd be interested to know if there is any clear or covering of the relic'd wood sections. My friend has a CS Fender relic that is was relic'd and then totally cleared over, looked ridiculous.

I had no idea I wanted to say this but you took the words right out of my mouth.

I think this one looks cool as well. Nice grab. Relics aren't really my thing either but I am sure I'll come across one some day and will pick it up.

Nice guitar. Have fun with it.

Beautiful guitar! That's about as close to perfect as they get in my books.
One question - Would the paint on an old Charvie actually wear in that manner?

And do they flatten the frets as well? Not a very convincing job if the frets look minty or the board doesn't look refretted

Yeah, it's like they can take all the blemish and "b" stock and sell them for more. lol

I have never seen one that wore anything like that. That is fender relicing, which I would hope is true to how a fender would relic.

Also, I think that that route is accidentally a common v-trem-kalher-floyd conversion. Only catch, it should have a v-trem back plate.

I would like to know if it was intentional.

At least yours looks like it might be real wear... at least its NOT overdone.
Most of the relics look like they were just played 24 hours a day for
80 years! Way too much wear...and most of the time in the wrong places
where "Wear" would occur! Yours is pretty good, as Relics go..
But im a cosmetic whore... i need my axes to be in 99% condtion!
I just enjoy a shiny, near flawless work of art.. But enjoy! Nice color too.
