  • Everyone show off your Green Meanie's

I am intrested in seeing everyones as I building one as soon as the Body comes in.
Here is a outline of what I want Mine to look look like.
Mine will look like the Charvel in the Carvin ad but will have a few mods

    But with out the sticker.

The pickguard will be white and the same color pickups as above but I will use Dimarzio Breeds. The claw route will be pink as org.

The inside of the lower horn will be ground as the late version was.

The neck is a Jackson woodburn maple with a 1 5/8" nut.

I still need to cut the nut shelf for a OFR.

Does this belong in the USA Charvel section?

I'm not sure if I ever posted any pics of my green meanie build here. Most everyone on this board has always seemed to be against the "relic-ing" of a green meanie build. I feel that if you are going to do one...it should look like the real thing.

The green meanie era I was after is the later scalloped horn era...but before the black pickguard & stickers...like you see here:

Mine is a Wayne body, Musikraft neck, Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge, Dimarzio hs-2, & Dimarzio Air Norton in the neck. Here it is:

man, i remember that carvin ad, along with having a bunch of those d'addario "top of the rock" stickers , AND that "steve's guitars were stolen, yo!" article in guitar world.

I am not a fan of the relic look but yours looks amazing.

That's a great replica, Brian. You just need some more wear on the green tuners (which are cool as hell!).

                      Thanks guys.
Those green tuner buttons are the stock ones...I just sanded the chrome & shot them with paint....so they have gotten some wear since these pics.
Actually...these pics are from when I completed the guitar over a year ago....so now the neck does have a little dirt to it....it matches the body better now.
