    Either way, I'm not buying.
I think Mahogany Rootbeer Burst guitars are the best looking ones there.

Indeed. I would love to know how well it works. Also, if you had to WD40 it, wouldn't it ruin the relic. That guitar would of been rgeat if the neck didn't look like it was dragged through a dumpster and the Floyd was made from scrap metal.

I'm convinced of it: relic guitars are comprised of what would have been factory second or discarded bodies and necks and hardware five years ago. Take what would ordinarily be severely discounted merchandise, give it the "relic" treatment, and sell it for a premium! Damn, I'm in the wrong business.

+1 Some people like them, that's their choice. If I were to buy a Relic, I'd like it to be authentic, not some half-assed attempt at creating one. Oh, and the prices on some of this stuff. Get out of town I don't think these guy's building these guitars have really looked at some old Charvels that have had real world playing on them. I would think they would do their research before building these things.
Me, I will pass on the new stuff coming out of this shop.

Keep the dings and creme colored pickup bezel but get rid of the rusty floyd and the obviously notgonnareallylookthatwayonarealcharvelafter25year s sanded spots and I think it would look killer. I mean, look at the figuring on the neck, shit!

I was talking to a dealer friend of mine, he deals old and new. He tells me those super relics coming out of the Fender CS are laughable, remember what PRS said at the experience. "It's like someone tied the guitar to the back of a pickup truck and drove it around the parking lot and for good measure gave it a good dremmel treatment afterwards".
But you know what else he told me?.... he can't stock 'em fast enough because people buy them?! a lot!! Go figure.

Personally I can think of at least one good place where they can stick those into.

Joe, I feel the same as you regarding pricing, and I dont mean to call you out, but werent you the owner of at least two Fender Custom shop relic'd strats? Werent your FR Strats relic'd?

I will say that I think this one is a far cry better job of relicing than the ones at Namm last year.

Hey, someones buying them. Its not me, but to each his own.

I like my Strats Relic'd and my Charvels perfect.

One of them was reliced and that puppy has been gone for quite some time. I learned my lesson, just not real and no mojo.

I realize that. But call there and see what they tell you. I have pretty solid hook ups at TMZ. They aren't straying too far off MAP.............for now.

The guitars are promptly cased and held over at QC for proper aging to take place.

The innacurate finish aging is the result of a no-longer employed by FMIC painter.

And finally.... the 21 fret neck is the result of a shortage of maple, not disclosed to the public until now. Apparently AlQaeda has introduced a special strain of termites that eat Brazillian Rosewood and Maple. This in an effort to frustate rock 'n rollers and defeat the evil worshipping, mullet wearing, spandex fitting and one humbucker guitar slinging devil music spreaders.

So.... this guitar are worth every dime as they will be collectible items within a 5 year span. So grab them while you can. oh yes, they will have a certificate of authenticity signed by Mike Eldred, Todd Krause, Mike Shannon, Grover Jackson, Wayne Charvel, Chris Flemming, Leo Fender, Zakk Wylde, Liberace, Oprah, Osama Bin Laden and lastly but not least Les Paul.
The certificate will be mailed to owners 2 years after the purchase of the guitar, a tradition established when the 25th. Anniversary guitars came out.
                              LOL I like that one.

They had an "Eldred" HRF "Relic'd.. For $5200.00 MAP! That's just insane,
even if they would sell it for $3100.00? I have a mint HRF Eldred, that
i paid $2300 for. Add another $800 or so, for dremmel treatment? Horrid
