If they did a MIM Charvel for 5-600. I'd be there.
I'd get a white one and mod the hell out of it.

My Vintage Hot Rod Fender Strat sold at the same price point with good electronics (same as the Custom line). So it can be done.

Then again I bought it for less than $1200 because it was sold as blem (they screwed up the logo badly) so there may be defects.

It's still a great guitar for the price. I found that it's as good as any of the Custom Time Machines I've owned, with better specs (i.e. jumbo frets).

A USA strat-head Charvel with a good Floyd for an MSRP of $1599 is VERY interesting to me, especially in the second half of '08.

I hope it happens and the guitars are of very good quality. I'd love to finally own and play something with Charvel on the headstock.

To me it looks like fender is discontinuing the fender american deluxe quilt models (according to MF) and I bet they are replacing it with the charvel line. I think they can out with those to compete with charvels anyway. Those models with quilt tops were only $1430. Move the jack, add jumbo frets, and a compound radius fretboard and it's close.

Keeping my fingers crossed this happens. I just can't fork out $2500+ for a US Charvel, they are nice, but it's a bolt on neck, with one pup. Come on, I like them but that's a 1200-1500 guitar tops.

It really depends on craftsmanship, IMO. Suhr is selling guitars just like that for a lot more, so are many other builders. There's a market out there if the build quality is top notch.

Well, I really hope this happens, I would love a US Charvel with a strat head, to go with my imports.
