There have been two in the last month or so on E-bay. So whats the story with these? When in theory did they come out and used on what guitar?

Are these fakes?

They pop up once in a while. A few of them can be traced back to a jeweler in the UK named Armand Serra. He goes by crazypigdesigns on eBay. Here's an old thread with some info:
