I actually would have preferred a blue San Dimas Style 1 with HSS, but I figure I will never get that variation, so I went ahead and did the So Cal figuring that I could change the pickguard and pickups if the HH doesn't do it for me.

How about a production model of this guitar? ... http://www.themusiczoo.com/Charvel_U...hic_C7800.html

Another thought ... does anyone think the black ones will sell? They are just too plain for my tastes.

And did anyone see this: http://www.themusiczoo.com/charvel/c...ion_series.htm

Didn't Abigail work with Jackson back in the '80s, too? I thought I remembered Jim Shine mentioning that.

Abigail works for Fender. Showed her on Made In America when they did the Fender tour.

Clapton and several other big names will only use pickups wound by her.

ANd MJ wound my 3 Custom Duncans - Distortion Jr, Jazz Jr, and Custom Jr

JBJ means it is a JB model wound by juarez
DDJ is the duncan distortion wound by her,
DCJ is the duncan custom wound and so on
but these days she does only custom orders
MJ is great, but did she work for Jackson or Fender? I believe he's speaking of Abigail Ybarra.

I really respect that and that is why when I do get one of these, it will be from you and no one else.
The custom shop guitars are a completely different animal. With a custom the sky is the limit, this isn't the case with the production models.

it's the subcontracting to where ever, that can lead to bad quality in my opinion

Shoot! I just deleted my post! I'm a friggin retard, but I was just going to disagree with my self about the subcontracting because I believe the MIJ Jackson Charvel are subcontracted

My local dealer is supposed to be getting some and he told me he'd let me know as soon as they get there.
