Just buy one from an American dealer. Someone will work with you so you don't get killed on the customs.

Good guess, £750-£800 was what i was quoted the other day from a UK Charvel dealer $5-600 increase in price,

So where are all the people that went to NAMM? We haven't heard a word from the people that ave actually played these things. The lack of feed back concerns me. Not a yeah or neah from anybody. Ohhh man, those Harmony Central high-resolution pictures are awesome. Gonna have to implement some sort of savings plan here... I consider myself very moneywise for a 24-year-old and I can drop the cash in a heartbeat for one of these babies, but I'm also splurging my life savings for a down payment on my first home especially since I'm desperate to get away from my roommates who are completely draining the life out of me.

Self control... must wait for a used black one to show up...

Much to my surprise, I did follow that. Still leaves me with the same problem. Grab an orange now, or take a chance on a green So-Cal and maybe get left out.

I'm in the same place you are on this (want green SD1, but like the tangering SoCal1 also), but we won't be getting left out. some of these will be up on the Bay used by the time the new colors roll out 3 months from initial delivery. if we can't have a green SD, we'll find some version we'll like, one way or the other.

I have to laugh at the timing of this. When these less-expensive Charvels were said to be in the wings, I made the comment that they'd be very tempting to me. But I snagged a Music Zoo Natural series last month and now, here is the entry-level Charvel. Oh well, with how nice the MZ Natural is, I'm glad I didn't have a choice to make based at least partly on price.

But I'm glad to see FMIC bringing these out. I think they are responding to what a certain market segment wants. I hope that they rotate a bunch of cool colors through the choices and who knows, maybe do a simple graphic or two as part of a very limited edition.
