After I did my Pre Order, I did a little shopping around. Every dealer I spoke with but one where selling for 999.00
The dealer I bought from gave me a pretty good deal

Probably something like 800 GBP, but that's just a wild guess.

Is this for all the models or just the limited colors? I can see not discounting the tangerine since everyone wants one. Probably not a huge profit margin either.

I have been wanting a strat, but the Fender necks just don't do it for me with the 9.5 radius. The EJ has a 12 but they are of course finished. I would love one of these because the necks are much more to my liking. However, I have too many guitars with Floyds and I would like another V-trem even a fixed bridge would be nice. I have never had a Floyd to V-trem conversion done... :-)

So I'm assuming since $999 is the price on the Charvel site, that it is the list/retail/MSRP price, not MAP?

Then it sounds like either a San Dimas Style 1 or Style 2 2H is more to your liking.

    Kinda looks like this...

I don't mind the flat black pickguard, but I guess I'm used to it

The sad thing is. G.C. isn't carrying these. :angry1: So I'll have to go else where to check them out. But for under a grand i can deal with a Korean made FR. Then just put a real one on it. Everythig else is USA made so Im good.

Wait a sec... so if a train leaves San Diego going 60 mph and a car leaves Seattle going 70 mph, then... huh, what?

    That does make sense.

My Fender Strat pickguard is the same way... it doesent exactly follow the lower horn. The reason though, is that it "flows" through the neck to the top of the pick guard. Say if the neck wasnt there, the pickguard would just continue up to the top horn... kinda hard to explain.
