Hold the phone:
Q: Can I use an alternative payment method (i.e. PayPal, Google Checkout, etc.) when I purchase from the Store and still get my cashback savings? A: We can't guarantee that your purchase will be reported to us correctly if you use an alternative payment method. We're always looking to improve our service and will continue to work to support other alternative payment methods in the future.
So then I click the "Help" link where it says "Don't see all your cashback rewards? Find out why"
Then it says your info may be delayed by third party checkout systems such as PayPal, Google, etc.
It does say to check back in about 7 days, and it IS the weekend, so maybe it's not all said and done just yet (once the PayPal stuff is complete maybe?)
Just a heads up for everyone else.

Searched for Charvels and found a Candy Tangerine that it applied to, and it said I was eligible for $249.75 cashback! That's $749.25 for a USA Charvel!
Yeah I know, I said I wasn't worried about missing out on them blah blah - but then I figured they'd leave that color for the collectors to have their little fun with

Yes, sorry, should have said to click the BIN first (you can always cancel before pressing Commit TO Buy).
The Cashback will appear on the Commit page.
If it's not there, click Cancel and find another listing.

My rep will not let us order any of the limited colors. He told me that there will be less than 150 of each of the current special color guitars. I can order more black ones, but he doesn't expect those to even go into production for another month. If you guys have to have one of the current limited colors (on a strat!).... get it now from someone. I don't have any left.
The Tele is a killer model for those that like them, but maybe they should have done the two strat based models and for 6 months a Limited Tele style. One color for three months and a different color for the next three months. After 6 months, change it to a star body in one color for three months and another for three months. Then the next year do an explorer for 6 months and then a V. Then go back to the Tele etc. Keep it all "production" models, same pickups, paint and hardware. Just have the CNC machine crank out 300 different shaped bodies every 6 months. There are not enough people into hot rodded Teles, or are there?Last edited by Chubtone; 07-18-2008, 11:06 PM.

I'm trying not to think about it, but obviously since I'm posting here, I can't get it of my mind!
Dave
Glad to hear it worked out for ya!

Someone hurry up and turn the Socal into a Green Meanie. I noticed the CS would not let people order that config because they thought it could be turned into a Green Meanie.

I'm not worried about missing out on the Orange. Judging by the sales, that will become a standard color once the rotations are done (unless they try to pander to the collectors and do all the colors as "once in a lifetime").

I had an 83 pointyhead Star. I still remember that neck profile. The only thing I've had that was similar to it was a Killer KG-Pirates (lower-end Akira model).

Limited quantities of the non-black guitars
I have heard the same thing from two dealers at this point ...
I heard that the first shipment which includes the non-black guitars is the only shipment of the colors and that the dealers could only order additional black guitars until the next color set comes out.
If that's the case, then if you are really want one of the colors, you should act fast once it is available for pre-order.
Can anyone confirm this?
Dave
