honestly, they felt the same as the $3000.00 Custom Shop Charvel's I have here.

that takes balls to be that honest from a dealer standpoint, and considering your existing inventory Matt.

I really respect that and that is why when I do get one of these, it will be from you and no one else.

I understand their marketing and cost-control reasons for the limited colors, but it will have the effect of dragging sales out over time somewhat for those that want a different color/model combo than the first production set.

Which, I'm sure, is part of the whole plan, too.

I have a Tone Zone in a USA Soloist and I thnik its a great pickup! I'm glad to see it in the So-Cal.

Regarding pricing in the UK, unfortunately we as dealers have to pay a much higher price from Fender UK/Europe than US dealers. Even as the exchange rate has been very favourable to us recently, we as dealers do not see any benefit, we pay the same price regardless. I know that the guitars have to be shipped and pass through customs but believe me, I'm as frustrated as my customers that we can't compete on a level playing field. To be honest, we do not have any info on UK pricing at present.....no one at Fender UK seemed to know anything about these guitars until I made a few phone calls. Anyway, I'm going to get myself a green SD1 when and if I can.

Good Point... With Charvel keeping the new guitars out of GC, They will need to promote the new models, or they won't last to long... We can only buy so many
Seriously though, I would imagine that Charvel will promote the new models pretty hard. Fender seems to do a good job of advertising

Candy Tangerine/So.Cal on preorder! Yes, It will get a single Lil 59 in the neck and a new pick guard upon arrival. Did someone here mention a green SD1?

I respectfully disagree. No way, IMO, they will move thousands of these without the aid of a` "GC" or "MF". For crying out loud, they don't even have an updated dealer base on the website! They're supposed to hit the streets in less than 3 weeks!!!
