LOL! OK Kev. I'll call you on that. Its not like you haven't held on to a few. Not pissing on the new ones, I own some new pointies that are staying put, but please. Hand made correct custom shop order meant something then, and still means something now.

That said, I am excited about a new affordable line and admit that I am disappointed that Matt will not end up with any as I had really wanted to try before I buy for reasons we do not need to go into.

I've gone out of my way to make special arrangements for anyone that had these on order with me, to make sure my customers are covered. This new dealer already has all their info and model/color choice, he's also honoring the prices I sold the guitars for. It's my #1 priority to make sure everyone gets what they want.

Well, I have just spent the last hour playing my employees Jays San Dimas Style 2 in black.

Here is my ONLY criticism. The knob they put on the volume pot is horrible. I suspect about a 95% replacement rate. I can only guess that Fender had a ton of these sitting around and said "hey, let's throw them on the new Charvels". Seriously, just touching the knob gives me the chills, like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I am real glad to hear that is the only criticism
i would replace that knob and the rings on the style 1

I was also just informed via email that I will not be getting my Tangerine SoCal because of the riff with Matt and JMIC. Since mine was coming via a store credit I have had with Matt I'm fucked. Now I have to buy something I really do not want or need. I only play Charvels.

From an email from Matt where I pre-ordered a So Cal:

"You're receiving this email because you ordered one of the new Charvel Production Series guitars from me. Due to circumstances out of my control, effective today I will not be accepting any new Jackson or Charvel orders and will no longer be carrying the Jackson/Charvel brands at my shop.

Because of this recent turn of events, I will not be able to deliver your guitar and I apologize from the bottom of my heart for the inconvenience. "

Matt went on to be very apologetic in the email, but still major bummer.
