Not what I heard, the CNC machine operator is supposedly the only Fender line person working on these. The body is supposedly a CNC 2 pc. The neck is quartersawn like other Jacksons and Charvels but CNC machined on the Fender side with a San Dimas program by a Fender line employee. Then finished, assembled and setup on the Charvel line.

And all of these people work for who?

Also, they have already shown pictures of the body blanks and they were clearly 3 pieces so whoever you heard from is likely a poor source of info. That said, the 3 piece bodies really aren't a big deal...I'm guessing not too many people will be able to hear the difference

Newc: I read this on Trace's site that these will be made on "Fenders" assembly line by Fender employees,not Charvel employess.
The QC on my 2 USA Strats is top notch,so i'm very confident in the QC of these,just hope the USA neck gaps remain tight at the top horn,the Mexican ones are pretty sloppy,not all.

I'm not a big strat fan either, but it looks to me like Charvel knocked this one out of the park. Great price for what seems to be a quality guitar. If you have a problem with the Korean Floyd, upgrade to an OFR and the problem is solved - and still under $1,000!!!!!

This is only my 2nd post ever here, but these are appear to be awesome. Just ordered one from Piney Hills. Got the So-Cal in Tangerine coming. I CANNOT wait.

With these being quartersawn and not flat sawn, is it safe to say these necks are not being made from the same wood stockpiles as the American Strats? You know there is going to be some leveraging of pricing power from the other product lines going on.

Well, since these are not being made by Fender, I would expect them to be quartersawn like all of Jackson's necks are.

They are being made on a Fender line and Fender owns the company...they are all "Fenders" no matter how they are branded.
