Well, since these are not being made by Fender, I would expect them to be quartersawn like all of Jackson's necks are.

Isn't flatsawn an obsolete way of sawing trees for guitar necks due to their inherent instability? For some reason, I just assumed everything was quartersawn these days.

Guess this answers my question... 42mm block length based on my experience with topmounted Floyd pullups. SWEEEEEEET.

I trust his opinion bigtime, and I'll probably be looking to get one of these soon (thinking I'll wait for the green), especially now that the big questions about the necks are answered. I really expected them to be flatsawn.

edit- he just posted pics. Made in Usa is under the headstock logo and on the plate. 6 digit serial #, which is interesting.
Hey dg what sight was this review on?

$700-$800? I know what I'm buying for my birthday... Those pickguarded ones remind me of my CX I through together; Tonezone in the bridge baby! For $700, I'll eat a Korean Floyd and three piece body.

lol you can`t wait? How`d you think we feel

Any idea how long they`ll take to hit the UK, and will us brits get the same colour options or is this gonna be import only? Also can we get the time order for the colours, don`t wanna buy one too early and miss the colour i want, or just plain miss out whilst waiting for that green and not getting any imported. Great job by FMIC & Charvel, much appreciate this, and can`t wait to get at least 1.

Any chance of Charvel swag being made available in the UK or alternately, maybe selling a job lot to a dealer here on the boards who maybe would be prepared to ship internationally? "Please note that we currently deliver orders within the United States only."

Hi Guys... Happy Fathers Day from Charvel! Just to clear it up... we put some guitars in some Artists hands in order to get some feedback and get them out in peoples hands...

Also, another point to clear up... the bridge is Korean. It's the same as the RR24 and the Techs at the factory absolutley love them. The guitars come set up with the proper neck angle for a top mount floyd and they have plenty of Pull Back range. The So-Cal has slightly less than the San Dimas due to the nature of the specs.

Everyone enjoy and WE can't wait till you can play these guitars.

Wow! It looks like they did a great job of putting together what most people would want and still keeping the price way down. They've got the Ford Model T "Any color you want as long as it's black" thing going on haha!

For those people (like me) who would want a full pull up, you could have a luthier just partially route behind it, or didn't Steve Vai use a screw driver to hack his up?????
