single action truss rod. newcs response is the general motors mentality. wonder why the people are buying toyotas, while gm stock is at an all time low?
And if you expect to have to dress/polish the frets on a new custom, you have even lower standards than I thought you did based on your response from my SL2H fiasco thread.
Again we go to personal preference. Shiny, reflective frets are not an absolute necessity.

There were no issues stated in the original post that were not directly related to, and that should not have been followed by the words "according to my personal preference".
So far, the only thing negative about them that has any universal ramification is the leaning Floyd.

That knob comment was funny enough to make me spit coffee on my laptop.
God I love this place.
yeah that was a good one
I was wondering though why rob's comments on HIS new charvel bothered newc?
I did not think rob was bitching at all, he was just telling it like it is
If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!
Thanks for the cool pics. These things are a good value with a qtr sawn neck at this price point. Anyone remember what the upcharge was for a strathead when they first started offering them on the customs? Wasn't it around $500?
Rob, I'm curious about the floyd. Does it have a 42mm block or 37mm? Not sure why, but I've gotten one guitar from them with each. One has more neck-tilt & a 42 mm block, so it has decent pullup range. The other has a 37mm block, very little tilt & pullup range. Curious to see what they did on the production series.

Oh those darned lawyers. You'd think that since Charvel is part of FMIC that the wouldn't have to print a book on the back of the headstock to point (no punn intended) out the licensing.
Is that text permanent or on a sticker that can be pealed off? I'd probably install the wrench holder over top of it anyway.
