It's probably because you throw that apple shaped ass around that you mentioned in the "platinum" thread.

Definitely good enough for me. I am very happy that I got mine. Finally got it last night and am loving it.

Ditto...............I bought new and had to do quite a bit of work to get it up to par. I would have to buy used. Not taking another chance with the new ones.

I just picked up a red one on my way to the gig...then tuned it up, and used it right off the bat. It was set up & ready to go, I didn't have to do a thing. And I'm a Tyler/Suhr owner, I'm a bit picky about setups.

These are really cool guitars, fat sounds and nice players!

100% no. Nut width is too big for my tiny hands. I cramp too easily with my model series which I LOVE, so it'd be very silly to get one of these. Too bad as I think they look FANTASTIC and like good value.

Oh and the fact that I play Blues and don't ever use whammy bars probably has a little to do with this

Thanks for the objective opinion (that I agree with).

I can see the nut width being a problem but because you play the blues? I cant buy that one. I have no problem playing blues on any of my Charvels.

You can "play" the blues on anything. Getting a good blues tone with a Floyd is another thing altogether. It may sound OK, but it's most likely not going to sound as good as a hardtail or non-locking trem. Jimmy Thackery is the only guy who I've heard get a great blues tone out of a Floyded Strat, but he has other mods to that guitar to help out with the tone "neutering" effect of a Floyd.

Disregard this comment if you think Gary Moore had a good blues tone on his first "blues" album.

Me neither. I play Blues on my model 4 and model 1. But I do a lot of double stop bends and Floyds are an issue for that. I'm not a shredder and I don't play fast, so at least I try to play in tune
I meant that Blues is pretty much everything I play nowadays basically.

Maybe my pricing is outdated, but if I'm spending $1000 I want a guitar that has zero problems, and as the reviews have stated, these guitars have some small problems.

I'll wait for a used one, or until they drop the price of new ones to under $800.

I was typing in Charvel at Live.com. Then I typed in PS3 and the "Get Cashback" banner popped up. Clicked on that, then went to Ebay and it was on the top of the page. Searched for Charvels and found a Candy Tangerine that it applied to, and it said I was eligible for $249.75 cashback! That's $749.25 for a USA Charvel!
If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!

yeah but that just means Microsoft is footing 20% of the bill. My point was that the price of the new Charvies is just too high for what they are.

I can attest to that. You may look stupid playing a korina KV1 along side cats playing Teles, Strats, and ES 335s, but it can be done!
