I know I'll get hammered for this, but I actually like the control knob, so it's staying put. Just needed some minor adjustments and it was ready to go. Had to adjust the truss rod slightly, so we'll see how that feels in a few days once it's adjusted to the climate here.

how do you like the playability?

I left the trussrod alone. I'll see how it adapts to the environment before I adjust anything. That could take up to a week, so I'll let it be for now.

Though I did lower the action a tad and tighten the claw to bring it back in tune, but nothing major.

Mine had to be adjusted, too much relief in the neck.

Very nice. If they bring out that model in a shade of blue I may have to feed the GAS beast.

How high do you want that bridge pickup?

                Lovely guitar.
                Why so serious?

That's how I received it. Liked how it sounded, so I left it.

I see. I'd have thought the balance between the pickups would be way off and things would get a bit muddy.

Then again I have a tendency to set my pickups super low so if you saw my guitar you'd probably make the same face

The balance isn't off that much. I keep my neck pickup at a moderate level so I can have a functional "clean" pickup. Haven't noticed the bridge sounding muddy at all at that height on this guitar.

If Jackson/Charvel would learn to use taller pickup rings on the bridge instead of the small ones for both neck and bridge, it wouldn't look all that off.

                              Nice guitar, indeed!
