I saw that control knob and first thought "Why did he put a picture of an ugly piece of granite in here" Congrats. That pickguard though looks like it was made in someones basement as well. Paint looks really nice though.

That knob would go very well with a Flintstones-themed pickguard.

That knob looks better suited to bore holes in rocks!

You know in twenty years those knobs are going to be highly sought after because everyone is switching them out.

Good shots of the colour , your can really see how nice it is... Seems that the so-cals are the popular choice of the new production line.

True. Expect to see a lot of EVHs, Jakes, and Green Meanies

Soon as I clear some room on the CC, I'll be getting a San Dimas Style 1 2H in Black - got me a sick and twisted idea that won't work with a pickguard

I actually like the look of that knob.
                    I have a couple on a Strat from 05.

What is the knob made out of?

I've never sweated enough to need a knob like that.

the replacement glossy knob and gloss beveled b/w/b pickguard will be on mine shortly after I receive it.

the bad pickguard and the odd knob are the weak points in this guitar that didn't have to be weak. don't understand that aspect.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Congrats! Nice shots! Looks like the knob is done as a rough cast item, not knurled by machining. Another cost saving jesture.

the knob is a rubber of some sort. i actually like them they are easy to turn. i dont like the guitar's they are on, however.

I think they chose the pickguard without the bevel, single ply and super-rugged knob so the guitar would look tough and modern and yes be anti-strat looking. I think it looks great in person. Makes my USA strat kind of look like "my dads guitar" in comparison.

Putting a three ply or perloid pickguard onto this guitar would make it look way too vintage to me. Although I thought for sure I would change out the pickguard ... it's actually growing on me ... and so is the meat tenderizer ... er a ... knob.

I noticed from the promos that they looked dull in color so I always wondered. I have seen a few post that they like them. It looks strange to me.
