That is very very nice! You do indeed have great taste for modern and vintage right there in that guitar.
I agree with your decision to go w/ the side mounted jack, it cleans the front up and gives it a fresh look, especially w/ the 2 tone burst, cause i always think Strat when I see that.
You know for some reason when I look at this guitar I think "Hardtail".
But ya cant go wrong with a Floyd.
*edit, I forgot to mention that I love the control layout. While I only have 1H & 1vol in all my guitars, it would be nice to have a neck pup sometimes, and I'd do exactly what you did to this.
Don't worry, your guitar is safe, I'm a lefty.
Glad it arrived unharmed, have fun with it!Last edited by metalchurch79; 07-30-2008, 05:14 PM.'Howling in shadows

thanks guys..been loving it but SADLY there was a few screw ups...including a broken Floyd (collar has a piece completely broken off), recessed trem cover (specified non-recessed) and check out the neck alignment pic below. Note the position of the high and low E strings relative to the fretboard edge....

That is a pretty cool guitar. Nice specs too. But the qc issues again??!?! WT???!?!? I thought that they we trying to turn things around.
If you are going to keep her, how much space or gap in the neck pocket?? If there is as much as most of the new ones I have seen, you should be able to straighten that problem out mostly. Floyd repair should be easy as well.Last edited by RR05xx; 08-04-2008, 11:49 AM."I''ll say what I'm gonna say, cuz I'm going to Hell anyway!"

Trace- hope your neck alignment is resolved with the simple adjustment mentioned above. Bummer about other issues, too.
My personal theory is that, for the bolt-on guitars that have neck alignment issues, in many instances it may have happened after they left the custom shop. i.e., The guitars have gotten banged around during shipping.
The G&G cases being used for Charvels flat out blow for shipping guitars long distances. Great cases once you've got the guitar in your hands. But for shipping, there is waaaay too much "slack" for the guitars to move around inside the case, and get banged around by the Samsonite monkeys who work for UPS/FedEx/USPS. I suspect this issue is also a culprit in the neck pocket cracks we've seen (and personally experienced ) in the past.
In order to keep the guitars securely in place within the case when being shipped, the cases need a tight form-fitting insert, like the SKB cases being used with USA Jacksons. Tradition be damned - I want my guitars to arrive safe and sound, undamaged.

opps thought I updated the thread here too..yes the neck alignment was an easy fix..loosened screws, realigned and re-tightened..took me 4 minutes. Here are the new pics....I suspect she got banged around during shipping as the case got a little bruise also.
