I am sorry to start this thread amidst a bunch of reviews, But many of the posts are new order, and first impression and I cant get away with reading all the reviews at work.. So, I wanted to get to the point and ask you guys: Now you have spent some time with them, How are they? Keepers? Destined to be classic? What do you feel??

I'll be looking to get another one when the new colors are announced. Just added a push-pull volume control to tap both pickups. Get very close to strat type tones out of both pickups when the tap is engaged. Even before hand, a great playing and great sounding guitar.

Keeper, it's looking like this will be my main guitar. I will be ordering another two San Dimas Style 1 in different colours when they are released here in the UK.

They're great. You can tell the slight quality difference when comparing them to a custom shop but it's not a big deal. When you consider $1000 vs. $2500+, they are awesome.

To be totally honest, I still haven't decided on the "Charvel vs Jackson" issue.

I was never much of a "Strat-guy", and the "non-Fender with a Strathead" was never a big deal to me. I have absolutely no emotional attachment to the 80s Charvels, so this is "just another guitar" to me in that respect.

How long I actually keep them remains to be seen.

That's not to say they're lacking in quality, I'm just saying I've owned dozens of guitars - mostly Jacksons - and have found very few true keepers.

However, that's an entirely personal decision for everyone.
