    Used So Cal and SD already on the bay...

    Yep, guy has 1 of each on the bay already. A black SD and a black SoCal. http://cgi.ebay.com/USA-2008-Charvel...QQcmdZViewItem

    Total is still high compared to absolutely brand new from a dealer, $900 shipped...

      By the time it's all said and done, you might as well fork out the extra fifty or hundred bucks for a new one. Buying privately in person, I'd offer him $750 and go from there.

        I'd offer him exactly what Charvel has in the build, plus shipping. It's a whole lot less than $750.

                    Wait till the next batch of colors comes out. Some guys are bound to be selling off their black or gold or red model at even cheaper prices so they can get the green or whatever. Patience my young friends.

                      Guitars advertised as "brand new" .. "mint" .. "never been played" are always suspect to me.

                      Usually if they are brand new/mint and being sold it's because there was something wrong with them so no one ever bought it or it was a dealer reject that is on the grey market. Collectable guitars are an exception - I can understand someone buying one and keeping it as mint ... but other ones are suspect.

                      Could be subtle things like nut cut too low or at a slant, slightly twisted neck, frets out of whack ... and who knows if the warranty carries over. I think sometimes the seller hopes the buyer won't notice these subtle issues.

                      Who knows ... these guitars might be perfect, but best to make sure the seller has a return policy.
