I wasn't going to say anything and drag this thread offtopic but since I can't remember what this topic was about anyways..

Outside of america ford actually makes great cars. The euro's are actually _really_ good. The fiesta sporty thing and the focus, new mondeo, all really good. The BA Falcon vg is hoonin' in is a huge leap forward aswell (previous model was an absolute donkey!). The even newer ones give me a horn and I'm a staunch Holden guy (I own two, a green one and a gold one ).

To be honest the f150's are the bread and butter, and it shows. Great trucks, but horrible cars. Alot of the trucks over in the states are really bad in and out compared to what we seem to have here (mostly jap, not as big). We're giving you guys a go of our cars with the Pontiac G8 (holden commodore) and the ute which I cant remember what they're calling. Snap em up and you can have those falcons aswell. They come in a 6 turbo that pulls like mad and is moddable to the extreme. They should seriously whack that in a stang for yas. Until then we'll have the best of all worlds down here.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it? Was '07 the first year for this? Are they currently in production?
It's actually a straight 6. The turbo version eats V8s for breakfast! Unfortunately, I couldn't get the dealer to bring a turboed '07 down within my budget so I grabbed a non-turbo one. Still gets up and dances though

mileage, I'm getting around 8.8L/100km on the highway and about 10.5L/100 about town. Similar figures to a Mazda 6, with the advantages of a lot more power running on regular unleaded. The Mazda has to have premium unleaded.

Just did a quick online conversion - that works out to about 27 mpg & 22 mpg.

Our Mitsubishi has a 235hp VVT engine w/ a 6 speed "Sportronic" (manu-matic, semi-auto, whatever you want to call it) that can be driven as a normal auto, or as a clutchless manual and it is just too cool. It also has the adjusting shift points. Gets good MPGs at 24-26. Not bad for an SUV!
it is a semi-automatic tranny. It comes with a 4 speed as standard, but the German 6 speed is $2k option. Fuel economy with the 6 speed is apparently better than that of a manual gearbox! I rarely use it in manual mode because the transmission is smarter than me and fuel economy is much better when I let it do the thinking

Talk about pull! I took one out before I settled on my car & it had a ridiculous amount of grunt.
